8th St Multifamily

A thoughtfully designed four-unit multifamily development on a 0.5-acre infill site in Phoenix’s Garfield Historic District. The two-story, 5,400-square-foot project was designed to balance a contemporary architectural expression with the historic character of the surrounding neighborhood, incorporating modern materials while respecting established architectural traditions. Threaded Studios served as architect and designer, navigating the site’s tight constraints, parking requirements, and multiple variances through the design and permitting process. The project was fully designed and permitted but ultimately was not constructed due to COVID-related increases in construction costs.
